Shadwell in the Spotlight

If there’s one thing Aaron Shadwell understands perfectly, it’s the importance of the live show to his career in music!

Aaron discovered Tom Jackson Productions last summer when he started searching for a way to “have a good time” doing the music he and his band loved to do.

So he signed up to attend a Tom Jackson Bootcamp in Nashville and spent two days in action-packed sessions in order to better his live show.

What he didn’t know would happen was that he would be chosen as a Top Performer at the Bootcamp, and because of that he would be given the opportunity to get some hands on help with one of his songs from a Live Music Producer. (Click here for more information about Bootcamps and Top Performers…)

Based out of Boston, Shadwell’s sound falls somewhere between contemporary Brit-rock and straight-ahead American rock. Shadwell’s first full-length album, Clarity, was a collaboration with a group of hard working guys, and produced and engineered by Grammy award winning Ducky Carlisle. The album has received local corporate airplay and college radio spins across the country, and has even been licensed to TV networks including MTV, E!, and Oxygen.

Along with continuous club gigs throughout the northeast – from Boston’s The Middle East and Paradise Rock Club to New York’s Piano’s and Arlene’s Grocery – Shadwell has been selected to play at high-profile music festivals including SXSW and the WXKS-FM Kiss Concert.

Among other recent accomplishments, Shadwell was named winner of Boston Music Spotlight’s 2009 Battle of the Bands and selected as one of their “Top 10 Local Bands to Watch in 2010.”

Shadwell is busy now completing a live cover record in the studio (check out some of the stills from that recording here…), writing for and looking forward to collaborating with a new group for the next record, and has a possible tour in the offing. We agree with the Boston Music Spotlight – Shadwell is definitely an artist to watch in upcoming months!
