IS Awarded Top Performer One-on-One Session

Congratulations to Top Performer award winner IS (Isis Mena)! Her performance at a recent Tom Jackson Bootcamp won over the Tom Jackson Productions staff and judges, showing great potential and “one to be watched!”

As a Top Performer, IS was awarded a half-day session with Live Music Producer Amy Wolter. The two got together recently in Nashville and worked on a couple of her original songs.

IS has a unique voice and is a great songwriter,” says Amy. “It was a real pleasure working with her, and I hope to continue helping IS improve her live performance in the coming years!”

IS moved to Nashville from Orlando, Florida the summer of 2011 and was awarded National Vocalist/Artist at GMA (Gospel Music Association) Immerse shortly after she moved.

Thanks so much for posting. I didn’t catch IS’ performance at the [GMA Immerse 2011 at Belmont University’s Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business] and I missed this performance at the [TJP Bootcamp at S.I.R. (love that place) on Cherry ST in Nashville]. I have to “ditto” Aaron’s comment. Aaron you and Isis would be great co-writing partners (long distance & in person when you visit Nashville), seriously! After the 2 of you work together (do some writing and working the songs up in TJP “live” style) you could contact [Chris Blair, fellow musician/singer/songwriter and owner of The Listening Room Cafe in the big red Cummins Station building on 10th Ave. S in downtown Nashville] and ask him for a time slot to put on a little show in his really cool and great sounding listening room (cafe). The Listening Room Cafe continues to be voted one of the best places in the Nashville Scene (in paper and online) each year and a place many music industry folks frequent in M.C. ,USA
