If you’ve had “one of those days,” says singer/songwriter Yvonne Hartman, she’s probably got a song for you!
Curling up with a hot cup of tea and one of Yvonne’s 50+ songs might just be the remedy for bad days and tough times, because her songs of inspiration pull from her own life experiences and everyday struggles.
Her heart to help others is evident in what she writes.
Yvonne’s solo career as a Christian Contemporary musician began in 2006. Then, in 2008, her children joined her to form a band called B9 Fate. The band has changed since then, but Yvonne continues to write compelling, inspirational music.
Back to singing under her own name and performing with bassist Gary Yerger, Yvonne released her 4th CD “Send Me” in 2013.
Listen to her latest single, “I Need You,” released August 2014:

Yvonne believes strongly she has been gifted and called to sing and write, and plans on continuing to do so. As she says, “Have guitar, will sing,” and that proves true as she performs regularly in her native Pennsylvania area and elsewhere around the country. Yvonne was featured on WBYN 107.5 FM in June this year, giving her the opportunity to sing 9 songs intermixed with interview about her ministry. She has performed in Nashville three times — at the Foundry twice and Michael W. Smith’s Rocketown once.
As a big believer of Tom’s Method, she works to incorporate those performance skills into her live show. Using angles, sitting on a stool for some songs, and organizing her set lists as Tom suggests in his Graphs are some of the concepts she uses now.
“The first concert I did after implementing some of the set list suggestions,” says Yvonne, “someone come up and told me I had improved so much since the last time they heard me play.”
Then after her second concert with the new set list, someone asked Yvonne if she had started taking vocal lessons. Yvonne explains, “Not that I had sounded bad before, but I really sounded good that night!” All of these reactions Yvonne attributes to the help she’s received from studying Tom’s Method.
Yvonne’s wish is to touch people’s hearts, spread the Gospel, and glorify God. You can check out Yvonne’s website here to hear more of her music and see her scheduled shows.
