Which Comes First – Movement or Song Rearrangement?
Sometimes when people hire us to work with them, they don’t have a full understanding of what we do. They think we’ll just be telling them where to stand on stage or how to hold a mic, or God forbid – dance!
While we don’t teach anyone how to dance or do what is considered ‘choreography,’ we do deal with natural movement, and changing what’s happening visually onstage so each song looks a little different.
More importantly though, our job starts with something very few people recognize as something we really do start with… the arrangement of the song. Before we even begin to think about what the song looks like, we need to get inside the song to crack open the moment.
