The Honey Wilders: ReverbNation Winner
Here’s another winner from our recent ReverbNation Live Performance Review & Feature Spotlight opportunity: the Honey Wilders, a rock band out of San Jose, California!
I took a look at the live performance of their song Sugar Mama, and was impressed by how fun this band looks. Not only that, but they’ve got some good players, too.
The problem was, I didn’t think the song connected with their audience the way it could. It looked as though they were having fun, but they weren’t letting the audience in on it.
55% of communication from stage is what the audience sees. As artists,we need to show them what is happening in the songs. And it’s important to open up and (as Tom says) love the audience. That means giving to the crowd, singing to them, getting them involved in the fun.
