Persistence, Perspective, Priorities
Here are a few of the things on my “to do” list this week:
- get oil changed in cars
- put new windows in
- study for work with Fab Four
- prepare for workshops (Seattle, Minneapolis, Dallas, Army School of Music)
- set up tour support meetings for indie artists, Tanya Tucker, and Reba
- get ready for rehearsals: Christmas tours, WinterJam
- plan European teaching trip
Add to that I’ve got a parent-teacher meeting, a men’s meeting, haircut and dentist appointments, and my son is doing 4 theater performances at school I want to see!
On and on and on!! Is your life this busy? I’ll bet it is. And you have your own list, too, that goes on and on.
When I’m caught up in these lists, everything can get out of whack. Inevitably I realize I need to look at my circumstances differently. Believe me, that’s not easy! This isn’t a new feeling.
