The 7 Requirements of a Great Front Man
So you’re the front man (or woman) of the band. It’s time to up your game and really lead your band to success.
Oh, and if you’re a soloist or a singer/songwriter, don’t stop reading just because you think this article isn’t for you — when you’re onstage by yourself, you automatically become a front man, too! (And a percussionist, and the lead instrumentalist, and the utility player… but that’s another blog.)
No doubt you understand what being the front man means… you’ve got to know you are automatically going to be the focal point of the band. Please don’t step away from the role, or from the responsibility that it carries! Instead, develop the qualities it takes to be a great front man, to communicate well with your audience, and to help the players with you to shine.
