  1. Michael, it was a pleasure meeting you, and I hope to see you again soon. Really appreciate the kind words!

  2. Thanks for the props, Stacy! Glad you were able to be there!

  3. Tom,
The entire bootcamp was very informative. it was presented is such an easy understandable format that my 10 year old was able to understand all the information presented, and was inspiring enough for her to fill an entire single subject notebook full of notes.

I have to say the thing we have talked about the most to make immediate impact and changes is the dynamics of the set list. Taylor talks about every song differently now, all with a new filter of where does this song fit, she has already identified gaps in her current set list and we are searching for the right songs to fill those holes. This was huge because she only really wanted to perform power songs before and she now sees the “why” to have a variety and is leading the charge in what to add. She has also started practicing twice as much on her guitar to be able to accompany herself “as soon as possible.”

I have already connected with so many of the attendees on Twitter and even ran into a couple walking around Downtown Nashville on Sunday! We flew in from Dallas for the event.

The showcase award I think I would have most wanted to win ( for Taylor) would be the sessions with Rick, Artist Management Training Course with Mike Smith or Time with Tom and his team( I think that was one).

We have already booked Taylor’s first session with Amy, we don’t want to lose momentum!!
We also look forward to getting the information about helping a charity, this is very important to Taylor ( and me as the Mom in how to raise my kids to think about helping others) so we were thrilled that was part o the course.

We had a blast, learned more then we could have imagined and look forward to learning more from the book, DVD’s, backstage membership and future lessons!
    Thanks
    Brandy ( & Taylor Gayle)

  4. I think every artist that is serious about their career and taking it to the next level should attend this event. It was a blast just being around other artists and learning together as one how to make the stage your home. Thank you Tom Jackson and your amazing team, as well as all the panelists and special guests for the wealth of knowledge you shared with us. I particularly enjoyed Collin’s performance as he is a singer/songwriter like myself and and a mean guitarist. I was also absolutely fascinated with the way Tom worked his magic on the Herbie D and the Dangermen and created so many moments.

Thanks again; hope to see you soon!

  5. Jim Feenstra says:

Fortunately for all of us, I already knew I couldn’t pull off the “t-shirt, short jeans and cowboy boots” look. That being said, I learned something in every session. The most effective sessions were the show cases. They allowed me to see the lessons put into practice. This was especially helpful with Herbie D and the Dangermen, since I’m part of a band. Also, as Tom said, it really isn’t rocket science. Your team’s ability to break down performances into memorable moments was valuable. Finally, Clay’s writer’s workshop was fantastic. Watching his process (don’t say prOcess, Tom) was inspirational.
The talent was awesome, the group congenial, and there was a Starbucks 30 feet from the room…what more could I ask for?
    Thanks again.

  6. DALLAS REMINGTON, we love that you loved it! 🙂 You are so right about small changes making a big difference. Be sure and watch all of Mike Smith’s videos in our Bootcamp After Party; I’m sure you’ll learn a lot from him through just those sessions!

  7. Christopher Gifford says:

On behalf of Herbie D and the Dangermen, I want to thank Tom and everyone on his staff for working so hard to make this a great event. We are so grateful to be a part of it and appreciate everyone’s hard work. We particularly enjoyed seeing all the showcases the first night and witnessing the immediate feedback the performers received; we gained valuable insight from each act. We are determined to take what we learned and apply it to our future performances.

Thank you again for a superb event!

    • It was great to meet all of you, Chris — your music was a highlight for me, for sure! Let us know how your next performances go… would love to hear the feedback you got from some of the changes Tom & team made to your song!

  8. It was an awesome weekend and I learned a great deal. My Favorite session was definitely Rick Barker. His message resonated with me to a T. I can’t explain why but I did like the Idea of “Calling You out” that is what some of us need in order to advance. I came from Edmonton thinking it was going to be a rerun seminar but it was not. I think I will stay in touch with Colin, Kosmic Girlz, and Taylor and her mom and of course Rick Barker.
I did show case and I learned that I really do not need the guitar in order to do well. I have an “intuitive Sense” as Rick said but I realized that I just have to have faith in me ! I would have like to have won all 4 of the 1/2 hour sessions with Rick because I think he is going to do more for my career at this time than any one because of where I am at. When I first attended Tom’s boot camp, Tom was the most important person at that time because that is what I needed then. And yes I did get to network with a lot of industry people and will continue.
Tom’s Boot Camps are worth every penny ….

  9. Hey Gang,

I had an absolute blast at Tom’s Bootcamp and loved meeting all of you. I learned a few things on how to throw a better event:-) I look forward to keeping in touch with all of you and want to thank Tom and his team again for a stellar weekend! I am using his set list to help better organize my presentations…… Always room to improve.

    Wishing You Nothing But Success,
    Rick Barker
