The Power of a Moment

I just had my third little bundle of joy not too long ago. I can remember the night she came in detail:

Waking up at 1:30 in the morning, the drive to the hospital, my wife making us stop for some McDonalds, they way the air felt, the contractions, the smiles on everyone’s faces when the doctor said, “It’s a Girl!”, and many more things. This was a huge moment in my life.

You can look down at my arm and notice a hospital bracelet still around my wrist. Should I take it off? Probably. Am I ready? No. Looking down and seeing that little piece of plastic with our names on it brings me back to that joy that I felt. It transports me back to the room and the look in everyone’s eyes. A moment I will never forget!

Is your concert creating moments like this? Is it making fans want to take something home with them to hold on to? Are the people going to your shows telling other people about the amazing night they just experienced? If not, you still have some work to do.

The problem is that most artists understand their music and their songs… but they are not sure what else to do with them for a live show. That’s where the Tom Jackson crew comes in.

They will teach you how to Capture and Engage, create Moments, and Change lives. They will take your amazing music and personality and present it in a way that makes your new fans want to re-live it over and over. They will show you the Power of a Moment.

Are you ready to change lives? I think you are. Your fans won’t forget it.

Check out Tom’s blog on how to capitalize on your merch sales through Moments (kind of like Wade’s hospital bracelet, you, too, can think outside the box to help your audience Relive the Moment! — Backstage Pass required…)

Years ago when I was a senior in high school I went on a trip with a group to Scotland and England. I bought a brand new cd right before I left and didn’t listen to it until I got on the plane. I wanted to absorb it while I was in the UK so that long after I came home, I could pull it out and listen to it and be transported back to Scotland again. Years later, it still has that affect on me. Life is all about moments of beauty that we can’t deny and Tom Jackson’s method makes being a musician more than just music, so that we have more impact on people’s lives. He empowers musicians to give audiences those moments that they’ll remember for a long time, and in the process leave more than just a musical impression.
And… contrats on the baby girl, Wade!
