Congratulations to Hey Romeo for winning Group or Duo of the Year at the recent Canadian Country Music Awards (CCMA) in Hamilton Ontario!
Hey Romeo felt it was a real honor being nominated against such groups as Doc Walker, Emerson Drive, The Heartbroken and High Valley, and they were excited about their win.
Stacie Roper, Rob Shapiro, and Darren Gusnowsky are the collective heartbeat of Hey Romeo, and over the past eight years this trio has put in the required hard work to make the group one of the “real” rising star acts in Canadian country music.
Also, on Sunday night at the CCMA All-Star Band Awards, Hey Romeo’s Rob Shapiro picked up the award for Keyboards, making this his third win in that category.
Tom Jackson had a great time working with this “Group of the Year” on their live show earlier this year in Toronto – and he looks forward to seeing continued success for them with their music!
