Parents: Get Your Questions Answered

“My child’s got talent – what do I do next?”

Parents, here’s the dilemma: you’ve got a child, they’ve shown interest in being a musician or a singer, and you’re not in the music business. So what steps do you take to help them?

As a parent of a 15-year old and a 16-year old, I understand perfectly. My son’s interested in theater, and my daughter is an athlete. So my wife and I have been looking into camps for both of them. We’ve checked travel teams for softball, and yearly memberships at the batting cages to help improve our daughter’s hitting.

The problem with all of this as a parent is that it’s hard to know what to do for our kids and when, and how much it should all cost. Do I get them a vocal coach? How and where do we get them out to perform? Should I take them into a recording studio? What songs do we even have them sing – should they write their own? And on and on and on…

If you’re a parent, I want you to consider coming to our bootcamp for young performers. We’re going to answer a lot of these questions. And we’ll have people with us at the event that know the answers because they have worked with young artists.

Allan Hardin, a great mentor and management consultant, has worked with Robert Pierre, Rebecca St James, and Stacie Orrico, not to mention DC Talk, Michael Tait, and Toby Mac. He’ll be on hand to hear your young artist’s audition song and offer his advice.

Scott McReynolds has worked with numerous artists who were teenagers when they started: Britt Nicole, the trio of sisters in Carried Away, as well as Sierra, Salvador, and Go Fish. Scott’s going to teach a class for parents, and he’ll be in on the auditions as well.

And of course, I started working with Taylor Swift when she was 16; not to mention Jaci Velasquez, Chris Tomlin, Jordin Sparks, and countless others who were teenagers when they went through my classes.

We even have a special guest presenter, hit songwriter Morgan Cryar (a great dad himself), who will be sharing information about “Writing Unforgettable Songs!”

We’re doing a Young Performers Bootcamp because we want your children to be comfortable, confident, and dynamic when they walk onto any stage. And we’re even doing breakout sessions specifically for parents to answer the questions YOU have.

Parents, I know you have a lot of options, and you want the best for your kid (without mortgaging the house)! I highly recommend you attend our bootcamps with your child:

  • They’re affordable,
  • You’ll hear things at these events that you won’t hear anywhere else,
  • You’ll get 1-on-1 time with one of our live music producers,
  • Your child will audition one night for industry professionals who have a genuine interest in young artists,
  • And you, as a parent, will walk out with a clear vision about how to help your child!
