United Breaks Guitars

Congratulations to Sons of Maxwell on their viral smash hit “United Breaks Guitars!”

Dave Carroll, one of the Sons of Maxwell, experienced misfortune with United Airlines’ mishandling of his Taylor guitar. But Dave found a way to voice his frustration by recording the first in a trilogy of songs about the incident.

The YouTube posted video has received 2.8 million views and counting. Live audiences are demanding the song at concerts. Hits on Dave’s website have multiplied by 1000 since the song was released on video.

Tom can’t wait to work with Sons of Maxwell again. (But let’s play it safe and let Tom fly to them!)

  1. My thought when I first saw this last week was that his career was going to explode. It is said that the best material comes from real life, and this is a brilliant piece of songwriting. I hope his career keeps on going – and that United coughs up a new Taylor for him.
