Pay close attention to how the Olympics could have an impact on your own success in music. Many of the concepts that the athletes use on the Olympic stage will translate into concepts you should use for your own stage!
Each day this week, I’ll highlight a lesson we can learn from the Olympians and their stage.
Mental & Emotional Preparation:
Watch how each athlete gets themselves prepared differently. One will dance. Another will meditate or pray. And another makes sure she’s very chatty and talking to people before she does her event.
Everyone prepares differently, but they are fully aware of what prepares them best!
The concept for the day: Pay attention to what prepares YOU best before you walk onstage.
If you have a Backstage Pass, you can dive into Tom’s teaching in this area a little more with his blogs on “Serious Stage Fright” and “It’s a Groove Thing” – both cover the concept of preparing mentally and emotionally before you walk out onstage… Backstage Pass required…

So true about each person prepares differently. Very good stuff to think about!
