Courtney Rau Releases iTunes Single “Thanks But No Thanks”

Armed with enthusiasm for performance and a sophisticated appreciation for all things music, country pop newcomer Courtney Rau is breaking into the music scene with a drive to succeed.

A Florida resident, Courtney is in many ways your typical happy teen, taking on extracurricular activities and keeping up with her schoolwork.

Yet unlike her peers, Courtney is a gifted musician and engaging young actress, actively involved in varying musical and performance pursuits.

Throughout her childhood, Courtney has been busy with professional training in piano, voice, dance, acting and guitar, always working to hone her natural abilities and grow as an artist.

After a busy summer writing, recording, and performing between Nashville and South Florida, Courtney has been super busy preparing to release her second single, “Thanks, But No Thanks” which is available on iTunes now:

Courtney says she pulls strength and motivation “from her strong Christian faith,” knowing that even though the entertainment industry is a tough place to be, it is where she belongs. For being so young, Courtney possesses a rarely found determined, dedicated work ethic that will inevitably allow her success. Music defines her, running through her veins and infusing her life with a relentless passion.

Gracing audiences everywhere with her natural musical gift and passion to perform, Courtney is grabbing the attention of the industry and shifting into the public eye.

Growing up, she was exposed to the influential music of The Beatles, Michael Jackson and Madonna, drawing inspiration from their strong, individual sounds and culturally affective performance personas. As she continues to develop as an artist, Courtney finds influence from many of today’s most well-respected performers, channeling the charisma of Katy Perry, the soulful vibe of Adele, and the charm of Taylor Swift.

Last August, when friend and Backstage Pass Artist Courtney was recording in Nashville, she was able to meet and work with Live Music Producer Tom Jackson on her performance skills. She credits Tom with helping her bring her show to life, making it unique and memorable.

Courtney says, “From the way I was to look at the audience, to the way I was supposed to hold my guitar, and from the way I was to change the arrangement of my songs during a live performance to engage the audience and keep my show full of amazing surprises, Tom helped me capture the essence of a truly captivating performance.”

The young singer says the confidence she’s gained using Tom’s techniques has improved her shows beyond all expectations.

Tirelessly keeping up with songwriting and performance opportunities, Courtney looks forward to a busy fall performing as many shows as she can.

Courtney’s next performance will be for a wounded veterans benefit outside of Washington DC. She looks forward to meeting up with all of her fans at her upcoming events!
