Even Without the Bells and Whistles

In every craft, to be a professional there are fundamentals that need to be learned.

And as the live show becomes more and more important to an artist’s career, the fundamentals and tools of performance are becoming more and more important.

You need to understand and know how to use those tools to become engaging onstage… and I have some resources to help you do that:

tools |toōlz| noun: – something regarded as necessary to the carrying out of one’s occupation.
engaging |enˈgāji ng | adj.:  – establishing a meaningful connection with or causing to be involved
Bootcamp |boōt kamp| noun: – essential for the onstage performer who wants to understand how to capture and engage their ENTIRE audience!

There’s a question I’ve addressed numerous time – “what if I don’t have the money for all the ‘bells and whistles’ of light & media production that [insert star’s name here] has?”

I’m worked with numerous major artists over the years, some of whom tour all over the world. As part of a team of stage designers, choreographers, lighting and media directors, and more, we’ve helped these artists create world class shows.

But here’s the thing: I believe that every artist reading this can have a captivating show that includes musical, verbal, and visual elements, even without all the bells and whistles a major tour is able to use!

It starts with knowing your onstage tools and how to use them:

Your songs don’t sound the same… so why do they look the same? And I’m not talking about bells and whistles.

It’s what we’ll be teaching you at our Tom Jackson Bootcamp in Nashville this fall!

I have been in this business for a long time and I finally found someone who does what I have been doing for years. But he is obviously more successful than I. I have been a frontman for years and I not only produced the show but the songs and what goes where and how to do this and that. The show was extreamly entertaining, and I was able to switch it up in the middle of the performance by my techneics that I used with the band. We won everynght and was extreamly succesful. Now in these days the “entertainment quality” has gone by the wayside and it’s great to see someone like Tom doing this. I have interest in doing this and using my talents as a ‘Producer” of “how to” If you can contact me I would like to entertaine the idea of a Florida Connection.
    Thank You
