Grammy Nominated Bootcamp Alumni

Singer/songwriter Tarryn Smith – a recent Bootcamper who won a free recording session as a Top Performer at one of our 2010 events – was nominated for a 2011 Grammy award!

Her song Expecting Good Things, co-written with Wil Nance and Steve Dean, was a nominee in the Best Southern, Country or Bluegrass Gospel album category. The song is the title cut on Jeff and Sheri Easter’s latest CD.

Even though Diamond Rio won the Grammy in that category, Tarryn still wins… a live rendition of the song has been added to both the CD and DVD release Majesty in the Gaither Gospel series. The DVD was filmed on the deck of an Alaskan cruise ship and is a compilation of “gospel music’s finest voices,” including The Isaacs, Larnelle Harris, Mark Lowry and the Gaither Vocal Band.

Congratulations Tarryn!
