Casting Crowns Wins Dove Award Top Honor

Congratulations to top-selling Christian group Casting Crowns for being named Artist of the Year at the Dove Awards Wednesday night!

After scoring five consecutive Group of the Year titles, Casting Crowns said this honor was “extra special because the fans were voting.”

Performing its ninth smash No. 1 radio hit, and title track from the band’s latest project, “Until the Whole World Hears,” on the award show, Casting Crowns was joined on stage and in the aisles of the Grand Ole Opry House by a 200-voice children’s choir from New Hope Academy in Franklin, Tennessee.

Tom is glad to call the talented members of this band long-time friends, from the time they sat in his classes through getting them connected with tour support years ago – he wishes them continued success with their music!
