Ask yourself this, how do you learn a new song? Do you just wing it? Of course not!
First you learn with your head – you learn the words to the song, the melody, the chords – you just try to get it into your head. Maybe you have the music in front of you or on a piece of paper. Depending on how quick you are, after a couple of times (or 50-60 times!) you start getting it.
You set the paper aside and start singing it or playing it. Then you start feeling it. After you start feeling it, you begin to “own” it. Then you own it entirely and you’ve got the form down.
